You are a mandated reporter. The law doesn't ask you to be certain — it asks you to recognize the signs and act. This training makes sure you know exactly how.

This is a LIVE, instructor-led class — not a pre-recorded module. You'll learn in real time from an authorized MiRegistry trainer, ask questions, and walk away with printable reporting tools you can keep on hand in your home or center.

Other trainings hand you a video. This one gives you a live class plus a ready-to-use toolkit — the materials to put what you learn into practice immediately. (See the toolkit graphic above for everything included.)

What you'll learn

This training provides a clear understanding of your legal responsibilities as a mandated reporter. We'll cover how to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect, understand Michigan's reporting timelines and procedures, and respond appropriately while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The session emphasizes documentation, ethical responsibility, and protecting children through timely action. By the end, you'll be able to identify the signs of abuse and neglect, follow Michigan's reporting requirements accurately, document clearly and ethically, and act with confidence in your role as a mandated reporter.

Upon completion, you'll receive 1 MiRegistry-approved training hours and a Certificate of Completion.

How this training works — please read before registering

1. Complete your payment here for the June 23 class.
2. In the ORDER NOTES at checkout, please enter the following so we can record your MiRegistry credit. We cannot award credit without this information:

• Full name exactly as it appears on your MiRegistry account
• Your MiRegistry ID number
• The email on your MiRegistry account
• Cell phone number
• Mailing address

3. Download Zoom in advance. This class is held live on Zoom, and you'll need to join from a free Zoom account, signed in with your full name, so your attendance can be verified for credit. Don't have Zoom? Download it free at zoom.us before class day.
4. Check your email. After you register, you'll receive your Zoom link, the class date and time, and your downloadable toolkit. We handle your MiRegistry enrollment on our end — no extra registration step for you.
5. Attend the live session. Afterward, your MiRegistry survey is sent and your 1 hour of credit and Certificate of Completion are recorded.
