This is a LIVE, instructor-led class · not a pre-recorded module. You'll learn in real time from an authorized MiRegistry trainer, ask your specific supervision and safety questions, and walk away with printable tools you can put to work in your program immediately.

What you'll learn

Active supervision is the difference between a program that hopes children stay safe and one that is built so they can't fall through the cracks. This training gives owners, directors, and administrators practical systems for the six strategies of active supervision, zone coverage and staff positioning, ratio and headcount integrity during transitions, naming and closing environmental blind spots, and turning near-misses into stronger practice. You'll see how small supervision gaps quietly become the incidents that trigger a licensing finding, and how to build reliable systems that keep every child accounted for through every part of the day.

By the end, you'll be able to set up a classroom for full visual coverage, position and assign staff so no zone goes unwatched, hold accurate counts through transitions and arrivals, identify and correct the blind spots in your own rooms, and respond to close calls in a way that strengthens your safety systems before an incident ever happens.

Upon completion, you'll receive 1.5 MiRegistry-approved training hour(s) and a Certificate of Completion.

4. Check your email. After you register, you'll receive your Zoom link, the class date and time, and your downloadable toolkit. We handle your MiRegistry enrollment on our end · no extra registration step for you.
5. Attend the live session. Afterward, your MiRegistry survey is sent, and your 1.5 hour(s) of credit and Certificate of Completion are recorded.
